3D South Africa’s affiliation to the Archery Shooters Association ( The ASA ) was finalised early in 2017.
3D South Africa will handle all issues related to ASA Target archery.
These include, but are not limited to the Tournament Circuit / Rules / Code of Conduct / Recognition / Affiliation to the National Federation and or Provincial Sport Confederations ( PSC )
The ASA Shooting format comprises of a 20 targets range.
* In addition – The (5) Target ShootDown Range can be added,
- 3D Targets ( Wildcrete 3D / Delta McKenzie 3D )
- 2D Targets ( The African Series – ASA Version )
Archers shoot a single arrow at the 12 – 10 – 8 – 5 scoring rings
These targets are set up along a short scenic outdoors trail about 200 – 500m long.
Currently, all ASA Tournament’s are Sanctioned by the ASA,
The Tournament calendar includes, but is not limited to the following events :
- 3 x Pro / Am Events,
- The Classic SA,
- The Club Team Challenge,
- The ASA Classic ( USA )
