ASA Membership Information

At ASA SA, we strongly believe that a healthy Club & Membership structure is vital for the growth of both bow hunting and archery. Whether you are an individual or part of a club, becoming a member helps support this cause and provides opportunities for exciting events, recognition, and qualifications.

Membership Requirements

While membership with ASA SA is not required to qualify for any of the SA Classic or Pro Am events, or for normal trophies, prizes & medals, it is necessary for the following:

  • Qualifying for the ASA Classic in the USA,
  • Qualifying for the ASA SA Classic (held annually in South Africa)
  • Qualifying for District / Provincial / National Recognition
  • Taking part in the ASA Shooter of the Year
  • Entering any other International ASA tournaments


Guest fees will be the same as the regular entry fees for the class entered.
However, membership must be in good standing for the above-mentioned events and recognition.


Individual Membership Structure

ASA SA offers various membership options based on your association within 3D SA and your status. Here’s a breakdown of the different membership types:

  • If you are a Primary Member with 3Di SA / SABA : Your ASA Member Fee will be R100 per anum,
  • ASA SA Primary Member: R250 per year
  • 2nd ASA Member: R150 per year
  • Family Membership: R450 per year (Capped)
  • Master Members (Aged 50 and over): R150 per year

ASA Club and Pro Shop Membership Structure

ASA SA also offers membership options for clubs and pro shops, providing essential benefits for groups and businesses involved in archery and bow hunting.

  • Primary Registered Club of 3Di SA: No additional cost to the club (No joining fees / Admin Costs)
  • Primary ASA SA Club Membership: R400 per year
